Comment Structures of an acetylester hydrolase from Corynebacterium glutamicum (5D7B, 5D6O) and of the acetyl esterase MekB (5EFZ, 5E4Y) are available and define a new family of bacterial enzymes homologous to L-homoserine O-acetyl transferases. This will soon be published by Toelzer et al. Crystal structure of human thioesterase 2 (OLAH) is available (4XJV) and published by Ritchie et al. Structures of glycosylated and aglycosylated human carboxylesterase 1 are published by Arena de Souza et al. and will be available soon (5A7G, 5A7H, 5A7F) Congratulation to Israel Silman on the occasion of his 80th birthday. The symposium in his honor at the Weizmann Institute of Science December 9-11. was a success (Program)
